Behind the Lens & Keyboard

Hey y'all, I'm so glad you're here!

I'm a Louisiana born and raised momma to two amazing daughters, doing this whole single mom thing solo, sassy, and one day at a time. Before this website was even a thought, I spent years balancing a successful career in SaaS marketing and “momager” with being the only one handling it all at home — school schedules, activities, homework, meals, gigs, you name it. If you know, you know.

My love language is acts of service, so that's exactly how I show up for my girls — through food on the table and memories made on the road. The kitchen is my happy place (honestly, my therapy). I'm no trained chef, just a serious foodie with a knack for "pantry pull" magic. I don't really follow recipes — I dream them up based on whatever I've got. Freezing leftovers, repurposing ingredients, turning Tuesday's dinner into Thursday's lunch... if it can be stretched, I've stretched it. Because real talk: resources are limited for most of us, and "what's for dinner... again?" is basically a daily anthem in this house.

Travel is another shared love. Every year between Christmas and New Year's, my daughters and I take a little road trip — just us girls. Over time I've gotten pretty good at building fun, full itineraries that don't break the bank, whether we're hitting the road or catching a flight. For us, it's never about having it all — it's about presence over presents..

People are always asking me how I plan this stuff, booked that opportunity, asking for the recipe, or wanting a copy of our trip itinerary — so I figured, why not share it? This site is my way of passing along “momma approved” tips, must—have hacks, and little wins that help make the most of every meal, every mile, and every moment.
